Vestas Wind Systems A/S won an order from Gestamp Eolica SL to supply its wind farms in Brazil with 106 megawatts of total capacity.

Vestas will install 53 of its 2-megawatt machines at the Cabeco Preto III, V and VI wind farms as well as the Macambira I and II projects in Rio Grande do Norte, the Danish company said today in an e-mailed statement. No terms were given.

The deal, which includes a 10-year service agreement, will see the first turbines delivered in the first quarter of 2016, Vestas said. The wind farms will start operating later that year, it said. Cabeco Preto will have a total installed capacity of 70 megawatts and Macambira 36 megawatts.
