Wilson Sons
Wilson Sons is performing an important operation to the brazilian oil and gas market, which will be completed early in the second half of this year. The company started last Sunday (12) maneuvers the Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) Cidade de Ilha Bela, of Petrobras.
In operation, contracted by SBM, Wilson Sons used six tugs, five azimuthal fleet, to carry the hull of the FPSO to the Maua shipyard in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), where will receive the modules to the hydrocarbon exploration. Wilson Sons will monitor the entire process of building the platform, always with at least a tug available. The work also comprises the turns required for assembly of modules and undocking of the vessel.
This is not the first time the company performs this type of service. Last year, also for SBM, Wilson Sons was responsible for the maneuvers of the FPSO Cidade de Mangaratiba. The assembly of modules occurred in Brasfels shipyard in Angra dos Reis (RJ).
